How To Start & The Hidden Fast Track
As your standard corporate-escapee, the #1 issue I see from women trying to change their lives is they have NO IDEA where to start.
I didn’t have a clue either when I started. I followed every freebie, trailed down every Pinterest search rabbit hole, and picked up every course that was under $40 in existence (or what felt like it…). I would start these courses, get bored, think “send IT”, publish out to the internet, and hope for the best. As we can imagine, I had lackluster results. If I could go back and hash out these things first, I could skip several steps ahead. So here’s what I learned, so you can learn from my mistakes:
First, you need to pick a niche.
This sounds way harder than it actually is. The profitable niches are as follows:
1. Money 2. Health 3. Help
In these broad niches, you want to specify your audience. Are you like me, trying to help others get out of their 9-5? Maybe you’re a mom who knows plenty about surviving the early years of parenthood! Or perhaps you’ve lost 50lbs, and want to teach others how to live a healthier lifestyle. You could have a knack for the aesthetics or style, and sharing your tips and finds with others fuels your soul. I don’t know- but that audience will be the key to niching down, rather than trying to guess at what topics will work.
Secondly, you need to pick your profit method.
There are two main methods of creating an income online: advertising and digital commerce. Advertising can take forms in having ads on your blog or becoming an affiliate for Amazon or another company. Digital commerce is when you are selling your OWN products. Let’s talk about which is best for you.
Advertising is great when you want to create “you” centered content; you’re showcasing your style, you’re all about that perfect find, you’re spreading your aesthetic, you want to share how your life is getting better because of x, y, and z.
Digital commerce is great when you are a creator. You have something you make, you have a course to teach, or you have one on one appointments to help someone; you have a solution to someone’s want or need. For example, I love productivity and graphic design, so I make and sell digital planners and printables. This method also does not require another company or a large following to gain traction.
Lastly, you need to plan your marketing.
Now that you’ve picked your niche and profit methods, you need to pick how you’re going to get your content out there! This will depend on your profit type and your audience (which you conveniently already know!), but the three main avenues people take are TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest.
The key to this digital marketing is consistency. Consistency builds trust with your audience, and that is invaluable as a person making money online.
Overall, these three things will get you going quickly in the online space. Your home base will depend also on your audience and profit method, where affiliates love TikTok, commerce users love Etsy. If you want to hear any more about these, let me know!
If you want to skip ahead, there is a way.
She’s called MRR, or Master Resale Rights. These are products or courses you can purchase and resell at 100% profit to you. My biggest asset and largest source of knowledge is the Digital Wealth Academy. It gave me everything I needed to start selling on my own, products included.
